Default UK Classic Turbo Wagaon Mica Red 2001

Really don't want to, but I'm going to try and sell my wagon, pulled it from sale last time as didn't want to regret it and and have to find another decent car.

2001 on Y reg
Mica Red
Air-con
STI rear lights
STI back box (single outlet with logo)
76k miles (genuine mileage with all old MOT's and stacks of history)
Full years MOT

Bought this for a family car must be 4 years ago, only had 46k when I bought it and I looked for a nice car and paid a premium to get this one.

This car has had no paint work apart from the front bumper has been painted to touch up stone chips, but it's a perfect paint job. There is absolutely no rust on the rear arches, not even bubbling. I've always washed the arches out properly and sprayed wd on them after to help.

This is a Y reg car, early 2001 registered in lovely Mica red.

The engine is perfect, uses no oil or water. From cold start it's quiet, and runs faultlessly. I've serviced it every 6 months and used quality brand fully synthetic oil.

It drives really nicely, pulls strong without any hesitation, gearbox is perfect, everything works and it's just a rare beast to be so nice. I get to see a lot in my job and I've not come accross one I'd swap it for!

The interior is in great order and the seats show good condition with only minimal wear inline with the mileage, steering wheel is nice and not worn as well as the the gear ****. Will come with an Alpine CD head unit.

The exterior is in great condition too, there are obviously defects due to the age of the car but only the odd 'car park' door ding that a PDR man would get out.

I've just put a years MOT on the car and there was nothing wrong at all apart from the tester noted the tyres are getting near their wear markers (but can't fault a car on consumables!) My intention has always been to get the OE wheels back on and what I propose is to sell the car with the 17's fitted and give the buyer the OE wheels, fit the OE wheels with new tyres and sell the aftermarket rims to recoup outlay. I asked him to find fault with the car and he said only thing was n/s R drop link had tiny amount of play but not even enough to advise.

Please refrain from any comments about my mate just bought one for X amount as I'd want to be seeing it and comparing the two. Most of these cars have had body repairs from damage or have rusty arches. Bare in mind, even a £1500 car would quickly become a £3k car if you were getting rusty arches cut out properly.

I would say this car is well above average having looked at examples for sale with a mate. It's just a decent all round example with perfect mechanica, low mileage, super well cared for and original paintwork in a rare colour.

£3200

I might consider a px but it'd have to be a cheaper car plus cash ad something sensible for the mrs, ie tdi golf, Audi A3 etc.

currently on these rims

Thanks gents. I think I might get the OE wheels back on, might help the sale as the 17's are a bit boy racer and it's really not been that sort of car. Always have my son with me and previously was my ex driving it. Be sad to see it go, my son will be gutted too as it's lightening McQueen to him haha (well, it's red I guess)

Just for the record, there is an engine under tray fitted (just took some pics while I was servicing to show (relative) lack of corrosion on heat shields.

I'd be interested in a px with a motorcycle, would add cash towards a 2007> zx6r zx10r or other sports 1000.

Thanks James, it's been a pleasure

Really appreciate all you've done to get the car ready and for all the info which I definitely need coming from the BMW.

The drive home was perfect and I'll definitely look after her as you obviously have done....definitely don't see many in this condition

Cheers,

Chris
