Default Vinyl wrap or plasti dip.. Gloss finish

Having had my Sti for close to 4 months and not using it yet, I've told myself for sure I don't like the colour! It's mica blue, rare on a V6 Sti saloon but I hate it. I bought the car for other reasons, mainly the low mileage and history and thought the colour might grow on me.

I'm thinking it's got to go, but looking around since I've had it, it's hard to find a replacement that's going to be decent and white or sonic.

So, now I'm thinking why not wrap it or plasti dip it white. That way it's reversible and it should make me happier.

Question is, has vinyl tech come on enough to get something with decent gloss?

Otherwise I'd forgotten about plasti dip! Having looked on YouTube they're doing a clear coat which goes over to make it more gloss. But the jury was out on whether it could be polished.

Don't think I'd like a dull finish.

I'm half tempted to swap all the Sti bits onto my uk wagon and flog the Sti shell, but not even sure what that'd be worth.

Then I think with the money a wrap costs I could not far off buy a type r shell and swap all the bits. Arrrggh!

There just isn't enough decent late classic Sti's out there, a lovely V6 Sti wagon in White or blue would be nice!

Yeah, that's what they call it. Just not sure on what sort of finish, the vid i've seen is from some 'pro' but he looked like he didn't really know and also said he doesn't know if it can be waxed. He was dusting it on from quite a distance a bit like he would with the colour coat.

Gloss vinyl is available and looking at the glossifier plasti dip finish I'm not sure there's a lot of difference. But i wonder if you can build up the glossifier clear coat as you might with lacquer?

Certainly looks like fun and my neighbours will probably think I've gone crazy spraying my car with emulsion or something considering the decorators style of spray gun used.
