Questions for any Paint Sprayers (Mobile sprayers preferably)
I know these may sound like daft questions, but the houses on my estate have all got faded garage doors (the estate is 10 years old and all houses had matching doors) and mine is also suffering. Some people have had new front doors fitted and have hand painted the garage doors to match their front door colour. I could do the same but (being honest) my OCD kicks in and I think they look a mess as you can see the brush strokes and the colours are very vivid & don't quite match the front door colour.
I've managed a temporary fix by rubbing grease into the surface of the paint and whilst it now looks like new, it does eventually fade and requires "re greasing" on a regular basis (another negative is I also get dandelion seeds sticking to the door )
Q1. Is there any way to rejuvenate old paint (I’ve tried car polish, wax, car sealant etc etc etc – it helps for a while but the fading always reappears) ?
Q2. Could a mobile car sprayer paint match my front door and spray the garage door, and if it is possible, would it give a nice flat finish in situ or would the door need to be removed to be sprayed flat ?
Cheers

the door would have to come off
there likely powder coated not painted, but rubbing grease in wont help the painter lol
needs to go back to metal then ethch, primer and paint,
go through a booth for best result or it'll be full of your dandilion seeds once chips away have had a go at it!

Cheers Jake.
I've plenty of degreaser ready for the job
Just thought of an alternative - Would a coach paint (you know the stuff they hand painted cars with "back in the day") go on without showing the brush strokes ?
