Default sti winglets

Anyone fitted these? There for a blob eye. I managed to get a set today £63 delivered which I thought was a bargain as I've been looking for them for a while now. Getting them painted as soon as they arrive so was looking on any tips on fitting them from someone who's done it.

I've got them on my blobeye wagon. There is a post on Subaru-impreza.org forum about fitting them. Can be a bit of a pig to fit and get looking right

Ill have a look for that post, doing a few searches tonight I've found out that there is a few bumper fixings and also to get a good fit some people have used adhesive, does anyone know what adhesive would be suited for this? I take it, it would have to be pretty heavy duty

you need to cut small slits top and side for the tabs to go through,
they are secured on the bumper with these brackets (pictured) from the back.
then bolted along the bottom.

this is for genuine ones though.

IMO its not worth it on the WRX bumper....hence why i removed all the inner fixings and just bonded them to the bumper instead.

probably right i replaced damaged ones on my sti so had the fixings and holes already, bonding method would be fine as it bolted at the bottom.

Bolted with what at the bottom exactly, as I might have to buy the bolts

WRX bumper still has the same holes along the bottom to use. Doesnt really matter too much what you use to fix them...you can probs get some trim clips from halfords or somewhere that will fit

I have a wrx and recently fitted these. I cut the 2 round tabs off. Made 3 slits in bumper using a 3mm drill bit then the wife's nail file lol. If you get it spot on and tight
no need for adhesive then bolt the bottom. From Subaru I got the bolt and nut.

WRXCOOK the ones you won on ebay are not genuine ones, they are aftermarket ones as I was goin to bid on them but I managed to find some genuine ones. You'll see on the auction picture that alex the seller put up of them shows the bolt holes in the bottom of the winglets, but they don't have the tabs on the top to clip into the bumper. The guy who was selling them (Alex) told me he was going to use a 3M adhesive bonding paste to fix them on his WRX but never got round to doing it. Get some pictures up of them before and after fitting cos I'm keen to see how they'll turn out. Your bumper will look loads better with them on ;-) I can't wait till mine is painted and fitted
