Yeah, not much joy here either. In fact the ration of threads views to replies on this site is pretty poor if I'm honest.

It's nothing to do with the response, it's not really possible to produce a matt black effect on an existing colour in pshop! Well not that I have ever come across anyway. A Pro gfx designer maybe able to do it, I would to like to know how though!

Problem is matte is a texture not a colour that's never going to work, its VERY difficult to do

you can do it by creating a layer over the car and adding texture to the layer, with a low transparency... but you lose definition in the body-lines and styling, so it really is very hard to get a good idea of what it would be like.

Using multiply would not work at all, plus the lighting would be all wrong from another pic, so it would look crap.

Maybe checking this post would give you an idea:-

Spoke to a guy who had this done on his Golf and said it looked fantastic, but as soon as someone put greasy finger marks on the vinyl it was really hard to get off. Looks great though

Just of curiosity how much is this likely to be costing you, as if they are going to use a proper vinyl, ie 3M or equivalent then it wont be cheap. Also wont this look too busy on the eye in "full" Carbon effect wrap?

Hi Rob, had a few quotes from specialists in my local area and I wont be getting much change out of 1k. I have seen a 911 turbo with the full wrap and i guess its a matter of personal taste. I thought it looked amazing! I think there is a few cars on google images with full carbon wraps so see what you think to it mate! Obviously I will also be tinting the windows and just powder coating my standard blobeyes 17"s gunmetal grey. Once complete il post pics!
