Default How do I fill holes in the boot lid?

I have decided to go spoilerless and have removed the rear spoiler. Once removed the boot lid has 12 holes in it, It would appear that it has had a few spoilers fitted in the past.
Is there a good way to fill the holes ready for spraying? Is this something the spray shop do or should I do it myself fist?

Thanks in advance

Tim.

Your best bet is to get them welded up. Try and fill them and it will just crack. Any half decent body shop should be able to do this fairly easily

Second that, either weld or get a new lid DO NOT fill them.

A second hand sport boot-lid in the right colour is often cheaper than filling and respraying.

Third that, get them welded or a new bootlid from a breakers.

I DID fill mine, they were OK for about 6 months

Welded now, no probs two years later.

Couple options I guess.

First is get hold of another bootlid. I remember doing Martyn (Martyrobertsdj on here) a favour one day. Grade-A Subaru had a bootlid in for something daft like £47 in black primer without holes. Dunno if they have any more, but an option to give them a call.

Also, if you're undecided if its a permanent change, try some rubber grommets (Halfords etc) to fill the holes. Another mate Matt (ilogikal1) has done this on his classic, looks fine and no leaks.

HTH mate
