The wrinkle VHT paint would look good, available in red or black:
BLACK Wrinkle Finish (310ml)*(P110) - Painting - Frost Auto Restoration Techniques
Same stuff i used on my inlet, a year on still good.

best thing ive always found to do is pre heat your oven to the paints working temp between 50 - 120 depending wot pain you use.. put some tin foil in the oven too just so the misses doesnt winge! now give wotever you spraying a couple of coats waiting abt 15mins in between each coat then on the final coat pop it in the oven for 30mins.. let it cool. Now it should be pretty heat resistant and scratch proof!

I've never had any problems with paint on my engines and I've never had to resort to putting things in an oven.

This was on a car that run circa 450bhp.

On the blocks I've used hammerite smooth and all the other stuff is usually basecoat and 2 pack lacquer

This is my latest project.

Looks nice Daz, but the alternator and radiator let it down, get them sorted!

The wrinkle paint in the above link says to heat the part after painting for better wrinkles, i never did this, and it still came out well. My oven isn't big enough to take an inlet manifold!
