What car/MY?
When I did mine, I cut the mesh to fit EXACTLY over the existing plastic grille, then fit it with U-shaped twists of copper wire passed through the mesh, over the grille bars and twisted up from behind.
Invisible from over two feet away, and easy to release if you need to, eg: to repair/repaint.

Me too.............
Grille material from Halfords, less than £10, alloy, black.
Wife's kitchen scissors
Patience
Some enamelled copper wire I had.
And then I drew out the Scoob stars, cut out a mask, and sprayed it on in white Hammerite.
BTW: I've recently removed the whole lot, resprayed it satin black and redone the badge.............it was getting to look tatty after a few years.

it's not rocket science, just cut it roughly to size and then trim bits off until it's a nice neat fit. Take your time and it will come out OK.
One thing to watch is that some meshes look different depending on which way up they are. Pick the way you like and stick to it, if you are doing more than one bit.
