Default Matt black re-spray???

The majority of my friends are massive VW fanatics. Personally I dont get it??!! But Ive been to a few shows and meets, and Ive noticed the "rat-look" is very popular amongst VW owners. Now Im not suggesting for one minute that a "rat-look" scoob is a good idea. But Im wondering if the matt look would work on one??Ive seen supras and some nissans running it, and to be fair it doesnt look that bad. Different in fact.

Just wondering what other peoples opinions are on this??

And please...Dont hate me for it!!

I think it would look awesome on a scoob! Saw some of the Brabus cars at the motor show with it as their paint job. Wow, they looked good.

^^^agreed. I loved the Brabus C-Class at the BMS!
I reckon it would look sweet on a scoob... especially matt grey

Well, my bonnet has suffered a fair bit of stonechip abuse. so I was thinking of a vinyl matt finish as a temporary solution until I can afford to get it sprayed. So I'll post up some pics when its done and see what ya think! A mate did a vento front end conversion on his Mk3 golf vr6, then sprayed his bonnet vinyl matt and it looked sweet! Bit unsure about the vents and scoop tho??

Nah, theyre all getting into the drift scene now. RWD S14s, S15s and Volvo 340's instead. Being more a rally fan, I prefer the AWD. I just see drifting as a waste of good rubber!! It got REALLY expensive when a mate drifted his Porsche 944 into a tree and wrote it off!! Definately not for me

Nope not PS'd... the owner used a combination of flat black and satin black just so it didn't look like an unfinished paintjob....

Went to the Uxbridge Japshow with SIDC a few weeks back and saw a new shape Megane (which I also own) with the same flat black treatment.....

unfortunately it looked like the guy had done it himself and didn't really suit the shape of the car....

there was one in chelmsford. a classic with a 2.5 conversion - don't think it was anyone on here though as a few people spotted it and the owner never responded. very "stealth"

...i think it looked ok. not really my cup of tea, but i can see the attraction. matt black looks good on my ts1 lambretta though
