i say made, cut up my old mudflaps would be much accurate
bit of a dilema as to what to fit, i'm quite happy with the fronts but not too keen on the rears. but i think it looks odd with fronts only
ropey pics and they're not properly fixed, but gives you an idea
so what do you lot think?

you mean the whole idea of a little flap?
it looks better in the flesh TBH, at least the front does.
you can barely notice it but it'll still do a pretty good job at protection from stones which is what i'm after. bored with the flaps look but don't want the car pebble dashed!!
i do think it'll end up with no flaps at all, but i might try running them for a while to see if they grow on me

Yeah i know what you mean.
I hate my flaps but they protect the side of the car, without em it would look like its been shot blasted lol.
I guess youre right that they need to be seen. How about having the bottoms of the doors armourfended and sodding off the falps all together?

i don't do many miles so i might chance it without the flaps, slowly coming round to the idea of having it how i want it and enjoy it and not worrying about keeping it spotless for the next owner

Yeah mate, if fitted properly. Armourfend is basically invisible and really works.
Id say get the lower doors done and skirts and you'll never have cause to paint em again.
I had my chequered graphics armourfended for protection against damage and UV bleaching.
Get the flaps off and say sod it. I wish i had armourfended the bottoms of my doors before my graphics went on as i too would be running flapless lol

If your going to get rid of your flaps, get ready to armourfend everything from front doors to bootlid. I was cruising a month without my flaps and you realy can see it... I can try to remember to take some pics, because there realy is some marks, even in the side of my spoiler.

I've got the Subaru/Prodrive stoneguard things.
The amount of crap that was getting thrown up over the sides of the car was unacceptable without them. Long diagonal sprays of mud and dirt covering the doors. Certainly on a classic, I'd recommend them as the way the bodyshell pinches in before the sills allows the wheels to spray crap around all over the rest of the body.
I don't really see the need for them on the back of the car. Though to some, it can look a little unbalanced with them only on the front.

it did look better, i'll be honest. but i wanted to lose the bracket and it wouldn't hold properly on the 2 outer holes, so i trimmed it back until it held firm.
took a look at the (unwashed) car yesterday and decided it doesn't need the rears, so the fronts will go on in a few days and hopefully it ends up 'looking right'
