Spolier Fitting / Wires
Hi Guys...
I have a 2001 wrx which until recently had a really stupid spoiler, its huge and as it happens cracked from the previose owner...
I have got hold of a standard spoiler and thats being sprayed at the weekend...
As a mini add on the old spoiler was attached with 4 bolts however the guy has drilled 14.... so I am busy filling and sanding...
My question is where on earth do I attach the break light cable from the spoiler.. I have nothing obvious in the boot cable wise and would like some direction if possible...

No spoiler

No spoiler
Can't speak for a bugeye, but on a classic, the brakelight cable for the spoiler comes up the left hand side, (near side) of the boot lid, then passes through the double skin and out under the spoiler, where it goes INTO the spoiler and to the light.
I'd not think a bugeye would be that different tbh.
Try looking for the wires that fed it somewhere under the nearside rear of the boot, ie under the rear parcel shelf. it may be a two pole connector on the end.

on my bug the wire runs in a black sheathing on the right hand side. follows it up the boot bracket/leaver(bit that connects boot to car, best way i can explain)

Well I have no wires at all... until I found some large ish black round sleaving stuffed down behind the boot carpet / walls.. on the right.. however on the end I have 2 ball type connections one female one male.. looks like a home mod to me..
