Anyone who has changed thier WRX spolier themselves. A little Help
I know, another spoiler question, I apologise in advance, but I need some help.
Been thinking of getting a STI spoiler for my WRX and had a go at taking off the spoiler today to see how easy it would be but I couldn't get it off.
Thought it would be straight forward as only 4 holes. I could get the top left and top right nuts off ok, but the lower left and right ones have a longer bolt and no matter what i used a couldn't reach them. Tried long pliers but they wouldn't grip and the right sized spanner couldn't reach over the bolt.
So my question to anyone who changed thiers is what did you use to get the lower two nuts off.
Cheers

I cut the two longer bolts so I could get the socket over them. There is a little black sticky stuff under the spoiler, a little tug and it's off...
I got a sti one that used the same 4 holes and used 3m tape to "make sure"..
Got mine from DR Motorsport it's top quality....
Hope this helps...

I haven't got the spolier yet, as i haven't decided to go for a DRMOTORSPORT one which they claim fits with the four original holes or scoobyworld or revolution one which requires drilling. I was trying to gauge how easy it would be to do it myself, but as i couldn't get the WRX one off i am a bit stuck

Mate the DR Motorsport one is £300 painted and a doddle to fit once you have the long socket. I have the rally tech version but will be sellin shortly as i fancy a change to the sti one. Greig

I fitted one yesterday!
Purchased a set of deep 1/4" drive sockets from Halfords for £4.49.
I also purchased the spoiler from DRMotorsport, Payed £280 painted and delivered (Group by i set up).
Had to make a few minor adjustments to the boot lid but went on relativley easy. And like someone said before the 4 bolts that come with the spoiler hold it down quite snug to boot lid and it also comes with 1/2" double sided tape around the whole base.
