Had mine done today, at Autoshades (www.autoshades.co.uk). Very good professional job, have a fair few mates who've been taking cars there for years, and lifetime guarantee. £240 for all side windows and rear (only light tint as anything else is illegal on front side windows, but still prenty dark enough from the outside IMO).

I have just been quoted 240 inc vat from autoshades, but for rear window and rear passenger windows only, I see yours was for ALL side windows at the same price. I presume your car is a scoob. Can I mention your comments when I see them.

Yeah, pleased with it, looks good. Need to keep windows closed for a week though to avoid damaging the tint while it dries!

Post Dont tint the fronts......

Beware of tinting the front side windows, if they are tinted as standard from the manufacturer they are usually on the legal limit allowing 70% of available light through.
As from the 1st of April 2005 it will become part of the MOT to test the tint value of the glass.
Some new cars BMW and Lexus to name two have as standard glass that allows less than 70% through, the get out is the type approval in the EU and not the UK.
The legality of this is being debated for Uk spec cars.
If the glass is already tinted, dont add more you will only have to remove it and its a pig of a job.
Sorry to be boring but I hate to see money wasted!
Just been on the autoshades website their legal bit confirms the above, also any company fitting the film making the vehicle, in the eyes of the law, dangerous, is also liable to prosecution as is the driver/owner.

Mine's a jap import and yes, they are already tinted. Perhaps I am best leaving well alone if the laws are being tightened here then.
