To decal or not to decal, that is the question :-)

What looks better, would you do it ? (Put decals on I mean :-)
Would decals put you off buying it or make you more likely to buy it ?
ANY feedback gratefully received :-)
Cheers

NO STICKERS!
Deffo put me off but not by much (I`d be buying the car for what it is not the fact it has stickers on it) would just be a pain in the **** having to remove them all once bought!

Ok my opinion, I had mine stickered up in November, I loved it, Loved the attention it brought, BUT it does where a bit thin, Everyone with an engine and four wheels wants to race you, If you do want to get a bit naughty driving, it stands out a bit and if you do **** someone off they remember the car even more !The first time i filled up the car was surrounded by sixteen year olds filling up their scooter's and asking the most inane questions, How fast is it, have you been nicked yet ?
BUT worst of all women have a either love or hate relationship with it, Girlfriend hates it, and topped it off when parked outside a shop, whilst i was inside, a group of teenagers took photo's of eachother stood by the car ! She is just not into paparazzi ! A girl ( friend ) Of mine loves it ! And that's why i'm in the process of taking them all off and it really is a pain in the ar$e !
So think carefully ! I still have the piccy's though !

Tuff one
I ain't no chav, but I think the WRC cars look the mutts nutts
I have been wanting to sticker up my type r for two years. Our lass has always said she doesn't want me to do 'coz "it would make it look cheap" - although she's not real keen on the car, she thinks it looks classy as it is.
Anyways, I've been on at her for two years saying "I want me car stickering up like a rally car", just before Christmas she said "OK, I'll pay for it as your Christmas prezzy ". As soon as she said this I thought 'I don't want to do it' and...I haven't.
Don't know if that helps but I just had to get it off me chest

Take them off. Stickers may well be a bit of fun and are good for advertising, but to purposefully leave them on for everyday car use is against the law in Buckinghamshire.

looks like a bit of fun. But can be damaging to resale, you not only got to find someone that wants a scoob but a stickered scoob also!!! Please dont do it the car is sexy enough.

Ragged?.....some of us look after our cars
If I was buying s 2nd had STI, and I was faced with a decal free one, and a fully rally decal'd one...I would like always go for the "cleaner" looking car...then put my own decals on it...

Each to their own really, I like the look of the stickered up scoobs when I see them but not my cuppa tea. Attracts more attantion than I would want and the missus would moan about it.....and that alone is worth me not putting stickers on mine! Saw a nice silver one a while ago with black/grey stickers on and a couple of WR1's with similar coloured stickers, they looked really smart I thought.

Think you'll find 99% of people off this forum being against the idea (see comment above)
TBH contact people who have already done this mod and get some feedback from them, I myself have also had this done and think it looks great as do many other people who ask about the car.
Best
Ashley
