Question Painting the Orange wedges - I can't decide

Evening all.

I've set about de-Tangoing my Classic and have ordered some Crystal side repeaters and front indicators. What I can't decide though is what colour to paint those ghastly orange wedges/vents.

I've a Green Mica Classic and am toying with either colour-coding them or perhaps black to match the other, dark and sinister parts of the nose.

If anyone has any photos (either black wedges or colour-coded, whatever the colour) then please show me some links.

Cheers,

Jonty.

The orange colour is actually paint, if stripped back it'll leave you with matt black wedges:d
Mine are colour code though

Mine are flat blacked on a DGM. But I like that colour coded look enough to go for that in the spring I reckon.

Thumbs up Thanks

Gents,

Many thanks for your replies -- and the photos. I'm constantly ALT-TABbing between the pics at the moment in an attempt to make my mind up!

My original thinking was black wedges to match the scoop, grill, and rad opening... and it kinda still is although silver wedges are growing on me. Hmmm...

It's nice to have a choice though... but I'll try black first and see if I like the look.

Cheers all. Much appreciated.

Jonts.

Use grey plastic primer and put them back on the car, it'll give you a feeling of what silver will look like. In my opinion, defo same colour as the car.

Funny thing about those orange wedges is that when you remove them you'll find they're actually brown. Spooky

Default Thanks

Cheers Ashley, et al.

My crystal indicators arrived yesterday from ScoobyWorld so guess what little project I'll be working on this weekend! If only it wasn't so bl00dy cold outside.

Not sure whether SW made a mistake or it was just a kind gesture but they supplied me with two free sets of Silvatec bulbs which I didn't order.

Thanks all.

Cheers. Yeah, might go for the sidelights too... but once the baby has arrived end Feb. I want to see how hungry the little devil is, so I can work out how many pennies I'll have spare.

Done the side repeaters tho...
