Hi Ray
I personaly would use a body filler applicator which is plastic
and slides beneath the letters then polish area where letters
used to be.There should be no problems doing it this way
and paintwork wont get damaged.
hope this heps.

Anyone got any de-badge pics ?
Does it not look a little plain without any letters at all on there ?
I fancy getting rid of the WRX but thought losing the S U B A R U might look a little too clean ?
Pics ?
Thanks

the back of the car does look cleaner with the subaru removed if you want to keep the subaru badges use a hairdryer, if not then use a heat gun ( mine melted under the heat of the gun, didn't have to polish the rest of the glue off though because they wasn't any with the heat gun ) your paint will take the heat of the gun with no problems

Ray - can you post some pics after you've removed them? I've got a DBM too and want to see what it looks like before I do it too.

no swoosh - thinking about the clean look - looks great on white & black cars, not sure if a DBM is suited to though.

I removed my badges with boiling water and some fishing line. Polish afterwards to get rid of any stray adhesive. I took off the WRX Impreza, but left SUBARU, as it is quite a big area to leave plain. Here's a pic:
