Swissol wax and non-Japanese paintwork
#1
I'm going to be cleaning-up a mate's car sometime soon. A proper job, including (hopefully) some of my posh Swissol teflon wax. I bought it for the Impreza, since it's tailored for Japanese paintwork. Is it safe for other cars? He's got a Ford and also a Peugeot, although I don't know which one I'll be doing yet. Anyone know if it's safe for these paints?

Just to put your mind at rest there is no reason why any wax cant be used on any car.
However some of the waxes are blended to compliment the type of paint used on a particular car.
It sounds like you have Shield wax which is an excellent multi purpose wax impregnated with teflon & it will be ideal for your use !
I have prepared cars from all manufacturers using the same wax you are talking about & they have always looked awesome.

...you might want to take out any scuffs and scratches with Swissol Cleanser Fluid before you wax the car. If you don't, there is a danger you might still see them even after you've waxed !
Good luck !
