I'd be inclined to take 'em off to do, and give 'em a few days to harden before refitting.

What about blending the new paint in? Surely newly sprayed side skirts won't match faded bodywork?

If your doing them yourself, make sure you key all the surfaces up with scotch pad before priming, use a plastic primer otherwise it will all peel in no time.

Once primed, give a rub over with 800 wet&dry.

Put you base coat or soldid colour on give it a few coats.

Then laqure if required.

Then leave overnight in a warm place or give em a good blast with a warm hairdryer.

If you get a body shop to do them like i did today they can be fitted within a few hours if they have been baked in a low bake oven

Does anyone know of anywhere in the North who will do this for £150. I am also more than happy to take the parts off and take them separatly if this will save a few quid.

Cheers

"The North" is a big area m8, you'll have to be more specific than that. There are a few round me who would do it at that price if you remove 'em and take e'm in to them.

These are the areas which would be convenient for me either through work or friends/family.

Greater Manchester
Merseyside
Cheshire
Lanacashire.

Would be willing to take the parts off and travel to say scoobyclinic if the job could be done in one day. i.e I take them home and leave them off for a few days to let them dry.

Cheers

Chris
