not an expert as I never had the SUBARU lettering but I think the geleral concensus it to heat gently with a hair dryer and then use some dental flos to remove
I just had a sticker to remove and after a polish you would never know it was there

Hi Jamie,
Not long done mine mate, i cut through the glue with pieces of sewing cotton, cut a length doubled it up and then slipped it in the back, and backwards and forwards then till it came off. Take it easy though or the cotton will just keep braking. Polished it up now you would never know it had been there.

As above but you will find a kettle of hot water gently poured over the letters will warm up the adhesive, this will make them come off even easier then white spirit will remove any leftover residue.
Then apply new badges !!!
