Cool

Does anyone know how to remove the side skirts and rear bumper trim skirts from a MY99 Impreza?

Thanks

Side skirts: One push in clip at the front, several bolts underneath, then ease them off using a flat edged tool, as there are more clips along the upper edge. If you do mess up any clips, your local, dealer can source you some within a couple of days, and they aren't dear. The push in ones have a centre that needs to be eased out with needle nose pliars, or a compass pointy thing(???), and they arent easy. You don't have to get it RIGHT out, just up about 5-10 mm.
When I did mine, I replaced all the bolts at the bottom with stainless ones and stainless washers.(Also did the ones holding my fog/driving lights).
The rears have a push in clip near the front, then the whole thing pushes/slides towards the rear.
If you have difficulty, try IM, they have a customer care dept, and the guy there will fax you the relevant page of the manual, if you ask nicely.

Can someone clarify how the rear corner skirts are removed?

I removed the two plastic clips and unscrewed the fastening next to the wheel arch, but there still seems to be something holding it in place?

Looking under the car - (in the wet) it appears that the thing is still attached to the bumper somehow - i dont want to crack any paing tugging too hard.

is this the bit that slides off?

sorry for sounding like a dumbass - only had the car 3 days.

Yes, the rear skirts are still attached in 2 places , out of sight. You need to slide them towards the wheel and they should pop off.
