hi guys,
bought a V1 sti which came with silver tints on the side windows. was tempted to just put silver onto the back one for an easy life but much prefer the black tints. i have applied them to an old car i had so feel confident about doing it myself. only problem is that i remember that removing old film leaves a goo all over the windows. anyone know how best to remove old film and all the adhesive?
hope someone can help.
thanks, neil

when you got the film off you can get the goo off with paint thinners but dont spill it on the paint work or the trim

I removed some goo left behind on the windows when took some old stickers off with Meths.

Seems to work a treat, only downside is it smells a bit rank.

Hi Whitey, do you know a freindly car valeter, they use Glue& Tar remover, a special liquid as it wont harm any surface but glue.
