"TYPE UK" gel badge.
did they come on the top mount intercooler or did someone stick one on my bugeye afterwards?
I now own a blobeye which has a similar one on the bootlid. I'm going to refurb my intercooler and wonder if it's supposed to have the sticker. I'm not trying to build a period correct car or anything, I'm just curious.

impartsb46 on ebay (International Motors/Subaru UK ebay shop) are selling them as genuine (p/n # SACC3447) but it is more of a sticker/decal than a "domed" badge that was used on the boot lid.

have that on my watch list but wasn't convinced it was genuine as its not a gel sticker like was on my bugeye i/c. So did blobeye i/c have them flat stickers then?

 

If Subaru UK are selling them, then I would imagine they are for the intercooler.

dont know if it was original. I took it off to refurb it and the sticker lost its stickyness so put a "tuned by STI" one in its place. Though that was years ago and its still stuck to my garage door fine😂. I'm not too fussy on getting it 100% as it was, but might get that flat one just to make a proper job of it. The paint on the intercoolers isn't great so maybe they just come off after a while. My current blobeye has lost some red paint off the manifold so wonder if its had a wash in something a bit too caustic in the past and any sticker just washed off.

 

The gel badge is off the rear boot lid. Never seen one on an intercooler. As Don said there original, but just sticker not gel badge.
