Default ICC World T20

It's quite a big tournament so we may as well have a thread

Not my favourite form of the game and we may as well crown India the winners now

We've got India in our group and Afghanistan. Touch or go whether we finish bottom or the Afghan's do

Ireland have the Windies and Australia. Could be interesting for them.

Ceylon v Rhodesia later on today. I wonder what that result may be.......

And in other news. KP is dropped for the tour to India. Not surprising but I get the feeling that he'll be back after that.

Shockingly they've also dropped Bopara

It'll be fun

Pyjamarama

KP not in the squad for India this winter then, as suspected, I'm just glad the ECB had the testicular strength to leave him out rather than caving in.

Piers Morgan, the self declared #1 KP fan, is apoplectic with rage about it.

Default and meanwhile.....

KP has to drop his management team. He's being so poorly advised at the moment.

Surely it's not all down to them, he has had a big say in all of this.

You're probably right but without his management trying to shape his "career" he would just be left with the simple decisions.... where's the ball and how hard should I hit it.

England v Afghanistan later. why am I so nervous This has disaster and humiliation written all over it. What do you reckon, more or less than a 30 run deficit?

Bangladesh haven't really got the hang of T20 yet have they

LOL You must have been sweating after that first wicket, the Afghans are no mugs as they showed against India. I wish TMS would stop dropping out

Luke Wright is having a great game

A great comment on the BBC was "have the Afghans got Monty Panesar as their fielding coach?" Had me creased up for ages

Great result, will do wonders for the confidence of the team.

Not a big hitting tournament so far though. How many sixes do you predict for the tourney?

God I hate cricket sometimes

Same old problems. Sloppy fielding, poor team selection and an inability to bat on the subcontinent. If only there was a competition held on the subcontinent where we could send our players to get some practice.....

Oh what I'd give right now for just 1 batsman who could play in these conditions

Oh well we'll need someone to carry the bags when they land at LHR, Ravi get the barrow there's a good chap, your playing days are over

To be fair they should have never put him in that position in the first place, chucked in at the deep end after the summer he's had !

Think you may be right.

Stupid decision to play him. Chuck someone in on a must-win game who is already a bit fragile. Broad is a mentalist if he thought that was a good decision

Oh well, on the subject of wrong decisions. Looks like KP will be back for the tour of India. Which KP will we get. King Kev the destroyer or KP the indecisive?

Looks like my joke about KP being back in the England set up before they land could well be true.

I can just see it causing massive problems with the senior players, the distrust will just eat away, not the best decision by the ECB imo.
