He only wanted to sign for United due to their history. He was never interested in City.
Gotta pass the medical yet

As a Gooner I don't blame him for leaving, Gazidis is a stupid ******* **** and ruining the club. However RVP is going to be hated for going to Utd, I was hoping he would go abroad to Juventus.
However pleased to get £24m for a 29 year old who has only had 1 good season in all his time at Arsenal. Utd fans better hope he doesn't get his sick notes out again. Unfortunately for us that £24m won't be spent on a replacement and will just go in the boards pockets as it does every summer.

people say he's had only one good season, pretty sure he's had more assists than any other player in the premier league since 2008. Remember its not always goals but team work.

You got to be kidding me right? Money was the biggest reason vp wanted to go he had already spoken to AF and was promised the same weekly wage as rooney if he joined Manu,I have been a arsenal supporter for years and it is sad that he is going but,if a player has lost his heart and commitment for the club you may as well let him go as you will never get 100% out of him.it was good business To sell him one year on his contract left 29 years of age,I just hope that money is reinvested back in the club and more talent brought in.

Wenger has lost the fight for titles, he is more interested in generating money for the club (which is why Arsenal have still kept him there). If it were any other club would they have really kept a manager for so long without winning any silverwear, I doubt it.
Dont blame RVP for leaving, he wants trophies and its clear to see he hasnt got that even after some excellent seasons. He's done what his ex-collegues done "Samir Nasri" and joins the manks

i 100% agree with that comment, but he still is very good at what he does. arsenal to watch live or even on the tv when there playing right is out of this world,i can only but hope that they play the way that i know they can play and start getting the trophys in and prove to themselves and all the true supporters that they are one of the best clubs in the world.
