It was the perfect reason to bottle it, 'my position was untenable after the sacking of my Captain behind my back....' or words to that effect. Don't feel too bad for him, he'll get another job no problem.

I was never a massive Capello fan but WTF is going on at the FA? It is yet another England crisis and probably is going to effect is in the summer which is hardly very far away.

As for the tabloids wanting Redknapp? Well he might be a 'lovable' cockney rogue who the London press seem to gush over, but managing England isn't about ducking and diving, and wheeling and dealing. It's got another Graham Taylor all over it except I think Redknapp is better with the press, both were English jobsworth managers who were out of their depth at the top level.

Sod O'Niell, do you really want to see the likes of Heskey back up front for England?

Thats the obvious shout, Redknapp would be silly to give up the Spurs job IMO, he could have a good job for 10years there if he stays. Mourinho could also be a great outside bet to take the England job, theyre the only 2 in management who could be good enough for the role IMO.

I thought Capello got it right. Terry hasnt been proven guilty of anything yet. So surely he is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law.

Now that is one guy I would love as England Manager. Sadly I think he is too smart to accept.

Can't stand the bloke (Terry), but you are absolutely right

Capello got this one right and I don't blame him for resigning. What a fiasco yet again!

Let's just be thankful there isn't a major championship on the horizon so it won't affect the team's performance!

It's not about that though is it, it is about the team as a whole and having Terry there makes it difficult and potentially toxic with Ferdinand too.

If a police officer is charged with anything they get suspended, same with Doctors. Would you want a Teacher on a misconduct charge of worse teaching your kids still? No they are suspended.

Nobody on earth would actually really want the job, other than for the money.

Racist Terry just a handy excuse to get the **** out
