And all because of that **** Terry.

What a stupid reason to chuck your job in!

It was the perfect reason to bottle it, 'my position was untenable after the sacking of my Captain behind my back....' or words to that effect. Don't feel too bad for him, he'll get another job no problem.

pslewis 08 February 2012 07:40 PM

1 minute too slow .....

Now there's a thought....

Hasn't Mourinho declared an interest to come back here asap?

r32 08 February 2012 07:53 PM

Bring back Brian Clough that what I say.

Or the only other guy is Martin O'Neil.

I was never a massive Capello fan but WTF is going on at the FA? It is yet another England crisis and probably is going to effect is in the summer which is hardly very far away.

As for the tabloids wanting Redknapp? Well he might be a 'lovable' cockney rogue who the London press seem to gush over, but managing England isn't about ducking and diving, and wheeling and dealing. It's got another Graham Taylor all over it except I think Redknapp is better with the press, both were English jobsworth managers who were out of their depth at the top level.

davegtt 08 February 2012 07:59 PM

Sod O'Niell, do you really want to see the likes of Heskey back up front for England?

Thats the obvious shout, Redknapp would be silly to give up the Spurs job IMO, he could have a good job for 10years there if he stays. Mourinho could also be a great outside bet to take the England job, theyre the only 2 in management who could be good enough for the role IMO.

r32 08 February 2012 07:59 PM

I thought Capello got it right. Terry hasnt been proven guilty of anything yet. So surely he is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law.

Now that is one guy I would love as England Manager. Sadly I think he is too smart to accept.

Doesn't need a court of law to prove him guilty of being a weasel faced little ****

hodgy0_2 08 February 2012 08:03 PM

hopefully Redknapp will get the job, and Spurs will then get a proper manager

Can't stand the bloke (Terry), but you are absolutely right :thumb:

Capello got this one right and I don't blame him for resigning. What a fiasco yet again!

Let's just be thankful there isn't a major championship on the horizon so it won't affect the team's performance!

It's not about that though is it, it is about the team as a whole and having Terry there makes it difficult and potentially toxic with Ferdinand too.

If a police officer is charged with anything they get suspended, same with Doctors. Would you want a Teacher on a misconduct charge of worse teaching your kids still? No they are suspended.

dpb 08 February 2012 08:08 PM

Nobody on earth would actually really want the job, other than for the money.

Racist Terry just a handy excuse to get the fcuk out

Absolutely. I think that JT would have got a lot of respect if he's stepped down and said 'I'm innocent but stepping down so as not to bring disrepute to the England's captains role'. But instead he acted like the selfish, tw*ttish oaf he is and tried to hang on. Good riddance.

And we now need an English manager for England.

Dave
