I don't recall Ireland qualifying for the last 8 of the Cricket World Cup or winning the 6 Nations.

I have to say that that cricket game showed levels of absolute fluke that even the Irish must admit they had more good fortune than normal. As for the rugby game Ireland played very well and England didnt, simple as that but England won the tournament, Ireland didnt.
