Default The Newcastle United 2010-2011 Thread

Following the Toon's promotion to the top flight, maybes we should start talking next season...

With Mike Ashley landing £60m in his sky rocket for Newcastle gaining promotion and an additional £15-20m from player sales, rumours have it that Hughton is going on a £20'000'000 spending spree this summer in order to maintain Premier League status for longer than 12 months, which also suggests Hughton will be manager next season (and deservedly so!)

... then again, in the papers 2moro we'll problies be back up for sale

Well that sounds like a great deal?

Ashley makes an apparent extra £60m for promotion, adds £15-20m from selling players = £75m, but is only prepared to spend £20m on new players. That's called lining my pockets with £55-60m where I come from Mr Ashley. What a great and loyal owner of a football club you are!

£20,000,000?

WOW, watch out Premier League, the big boys are back in Toon.

At least it means I can go back to supporting my boyhood club and stop having to support the other United who seem to have shot their load this season!
