Becks out for 6 Months
Snapped his Achilles last night
I feel for the guy, I think that will be that for his international aspirations, sad stuff.

This is the worry, at 34 the injury could be the end of club football not just Internationals. Would be a very sad way for him to have to retire. He is certainly the best set piece taker and crosser of the ball i've ever seen.

Read they're saying 3 or 4 months possible comeback. I'd be amazed at that. I'd think it's closer to 9 months and he would then have to get fitness and muscle back. At that age and without the motivation of the World cup which was clearly driving him on maybe he'll asses his future. If he does have to then at least he had that reception at OT the other night.

Does anyone else get the feeling that England's World Cup preparations are cursed? Poor old Capello, it's 1 step forward 2 (hobbling) steps back for him at the moment.
OK Beckham probably wouldn't have started, but you'd look to him to come off the bench and try and turn things round with a quality cross or set-piece if needed. Who else have we got to come in with those qualities?

Only heard about it this morning. Gutted for him as was a professional on and off the pitch. A lot of players would do well to look at his attitude. He was the best player for Milan by a mile when they played us in the Champs League last week. Still dont know how he wraps his foot so far around a ball.

I do feel for the guy this time. Apparently it was in the last couple of minutes as weel. However, his recovery has been dealt a severe blow today ... Gordon Brown And Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy Write For David Beckham After Achilles Heel Injury | UK News | Sky News ...
"... Gordon Brown has sent a letter of support to the midfielder during his recovery in Finland ..."
That's Beck's career over now then ..... The curse of the one-eyed Jonah ALWAYS strikes!
