Bangladesh v England 1st Test
Sorry about the late start, goddam these early starts for tests
This should be batting practice for the boys although we had a close scare in the ODI's (well at least one of them).
The Essex Boy is doing us proud and KP has finally found some form at last.
Must admit I don't know a lot about the new chap Carberry but he hasn't done badly in his first test.
Once again the selectors have ignored my advice and stuck Bell back in

Less pressure at 6 for Ding Dong
That said this is Banga, more of a training session than a test, I hope KP's 99 has helped his state of mind, we have a busy Summer and Winter ahead of us
I see colly has notched another ton
Why is Strauss sitting out this tour ??

Maybe a polite way of grooming Cook for a role they see as his in a couple of years.
Looking at a lot of the players on this tour it's definately a case of trying our new blood, so not a bad thing exposing fringe players to the test arena rather than a Lions match, and a few of them have done OK.

What was the 2nd innings about. They should be batting for as much time at the crease as possible not throwing their wickets away against the weakest team in test cricket
Nothing but a crushing victory was ever going to be the result but that shouldn't excuse the poor loss of wickets in their 2nd innings.

not so bad when it's a decent team (or when the WIndies can be bothered) but it's a bit painful at the moment.
Still, should be able to get tickets and the food should be good

Special mention to Swanny, 2 fivefers
He has been a revelation since he came into the England team, I think a lot of people, myself included didn't consider him a "real" spinner, more a guy who could spin it a bit who was there whilst Monty found some form.
I dont think any of us expected him to be a long term proposition for England probably because of our love affair with Monty. But fair play to him his time with England has been far more impressive than that of Monty, regularly picking up fivefers, regularly taking a wicket in his first over, can bat a bit and a guy full of self belief, Seems the spinners role is his for as long as he wants it.

Another cracking bowling performance by England - from 254-6 they let the weakest test team's tail end score over 150 runs to take them to 419
And at 440-8 we've only just crept past their score, absolutely pathetic. The Ausies must be p!ssing themselves seeing us struggle against Bangladesh.

Th Aussies are **** and have only played 3 **** sides this year, PAK,W.I and NZ, They should have lost 2 tests to W.I and 2 against PAK sadly the visitors threw those tests away.
Lets be fair there are only 4 teams in world cricket worth talking about Eng, Aus, Ind, SA.
Good to see we finally cruised past Bangladesh

However the Aussies crushed NZ by 10 wickets and they are a far better team than Bangladesh. I'm more concerned about our bowling attack than the batting as we should be skittling Bangladesh out and we're not. That to me shows our bowlers rely too much on the pitches at home to help them out being bouncy and green and when they face a flat dry track have no idea how to get batsmen out.
