Could a top club win the World Cup?
As title really. Theoretically could a leading club, say a Chelsea or Rio team beat a top flight national team or would they get obliterated. Assumes access to full squad and no injuries.

imo yes, but it would be a European team, Barca, Man U, Chelsea, or Real, these guys play week in week out and know each others games so well, Intl teams ont play together as a unit frequently enough.
I know it's only hypthetical but the 4 teams from Rio aren't strong enough.

Thanks. My head wasn't working - when I said Rio I meant Real
I agree with you. Be good practice for the England World Cup build up if they could have some games against the likes of Chelsea. Man U etc. But I suppose clubs would argue that they are too busy to fit them in. Clubs to have player choice. dl
