Didn't see that one coming - The bookies had Khan down as by far the favourite.

Didn't see that one coming
I want my 15 squids back from Sky box office, I do

He made a dramatic entry. Smoke machines, disco lit walking passage- the lot! It was shocking to see him knocked out in first round. The Columbian was a strong opponent, fair play.

Ah, well. The young man will learn from his mistakes, I suppose! Surely, a huge blow for Amir's career and popularity.

I`m another that paid the £15 for that

Its the first proper fighter that Amir Khan has met that has similar strength, height, reach and skill and he ends up on the floor within seconds. Before this fight he had met virtual nobody`s, now its going to be a big test and long road back for him as its going to get even harder than tonights fight.

He did!
Columbian battered him with some historical punches to knock the hero out. That Columbian must have drank too much Columbian coffee before the match!
In a matter of 54 seconds, it was all over. I couldn't believe it, Lesley.

Pretty much the same left hook to the temple that floored Khan in the second round of the Gomez fight

53WRX and Rob,

True.

I know an ex boxing champion, who always maintained his views that Amir was being put against the opponents he could win. All to do with marketing, promotions and kingmakers politics apparently. This must have been the first time he got to fight a quality opponent; as lightning fast as he himself is. So, I think it was due to come.

What was quite shocking that after being flattened out once with one punch, he was flattened out with another punch for the second time in next 3 seconds! Oh, he didn't half wobble!

LOL I really expected it to be a good fight (even if he had lost) until 1AM. Couldn't believe that it was all over within seconds, man.

His conclusive interview was ok, though. I was expecting him to cry, TBH This is the first time he has faced hard game. Hopefully, he will come back stronger the next time.

Shame really as I enjoy the ITV coverage over Sky.

Last fight Gomez took so many punches and wore himself out chasing Amir round the ring. This columbian seemed to just unleash, job done. Amir looked fubar'd on the first knock down, literally not knowing what hit him.

Bad night maybe ? but he just ain't used to getting hit I think.

Default Amir Khan Is A Scumbag

On October 23, 2007, Khan was convicted of careless driving at Bolton Crown Court and given a six month driving ban and a £1000 fine. The conviction related to an incident that occurred on March 2, 2006, in the centre of Bolton when Khan hit a pedestrian on a pelican crossing whilst overtaking a line of cars and running through a red traffic light. Khan was estimated to be traveling at 47 mph in a 30 mph limit area and was in the incorrect lane of traffic. The pedestrian, Geoffrey Hatton, suffered a broken leg and lost his job due to the seriousness of the injury He died two years later at the age of 57. Geoffrey Hatton's widow Moyra said that he had been "a broken man" following the accident. Khan had originally been charged with the more serious offence of dangerous driving.[15]

Khan was also summoned to appear in court in Rochdale on October 26, 2007, accused of travelling in excess of 140 mph on the M62 motorway on December 31, 2006. He did not appear and the case was adjourned to November 2, 2007, with the District Judge stating that he would issue an arrest warrant if the accused did not appear then. He was also charged with not producing his driving licence and insurance certificate after the incident.[16] On 7th January 2008 Khan was fined £1000 and banned for 42 days for the speeding offence.[17]

reminds me of ordinary harrison, fought no ones for his first few fights, then gets convincingly battered against his first proper opponent.

did enjoy watching khan before, but never fought anyone with any class, and has been put down relatively easily in his last 2 fights!

I don't usually notice those comments, but that goes to show some people who commented there were race sensitive, rather than case sensitive in offering Khan's performance a critical appraisal. It doesn't have to be like that. In some comments there, Khan is not perceived as an overrated, unpolished and bit of a cheeky sportsman, but an overrated, unpolished and cheeky **** sportsman. Perhaps it's too difficult to ignore his race for the likes of the ones who commented on that Youtube page. Sad, but one of those things, I suppose

I know! He looked so dizzy!

When I saw Prescott warming up with his coach before the match, I had already declared that Khan would be thrashed black-n-blue by that frightening fast Columbian! His focus and strength were remarkable! The lanky sportsman was definitely superior than Amir. IMO may be it was good thing that the fight didn't last any longer. He could have seriously damaged Khan LOL. Amir has a lot to learn to fight at that level.
