Default PFA awards

as voted by their peers:

Player of the Year: Christiano Ronaldo
Young Player of the Year: Cesc Fabregas

Prem team of the year:
GK: David James
LB: Gael Clichy
RB: Bacary Dagna
CB: Rio Ferdinand
CB: Nemanja Vidic
ML: Christiano Ronaldo
MR: Ashley Young
MC: Cesc Fabregas
MC: Steven Gerrard
F: Emmanuel Adebayor
F: Fernando Torres

Can't really disgree with a lot of that. Good to see Sagna recognised, amazing as this was his first season in the prem.

ps - do none of the prem players rate any Chelsea players?? just shows you how team orientated they are and how they grind out results without attracting any praise.

How did Ronaldo win player of the year but Fabregas beat him to young player and vice versa?

Can't argue with that list, just shows what a bad season it has been

I think it's because they cast their votes early in the season, I believe it's around November, at which time, Fabregas was still buzzing, did think the same myself, you've also got to factor in the "I can't vote for him in both catergories again" which I'm sure crossed a lot of minds.

Both worthy winners IMHO

Good to see Cesc back on Heroes

Probably something to do with having a cracking season, its David James who has made sure Portsmouth has finished as high as they have this season. Been on top for this season

James is 20pts out in the lead in the Fantasy Football which backs up what a good season he has had.

Really

I'm amazed, I tend not to follow any of the fantasy football things so those sort of player stats tend to pass me by

I'd have placed both Friedel and Cech ahead of him based on what I've personally seen this season

They are a very good stat as they give points for clean sheets, saves and penalty saves. Admittedly in the Prem League version you do get bonus points for the 3 best players in each team, and clean sheets dont always indicate the best keeper but a very strong defence. However I think they are pretty accurate as stats go.
