I know. Think Chelsea have the easier run in. Hope it doesn't go to the last day as getting a result on that bog of a pitch at Wigan would not be fun!

im not being funny how did he get his subs right? he brought on a striker who could jump. thats all he had to do. what other options where there?
if you could jump you would of one the games against our lazy centre backs

Lol I wondered that as well. Sounded like regurgitation of the sky commentary team. Even a chimp would have known that at 0-1 down youd be wise to bring on a strong target man to partner Drogba. That wasnt rocket science.

i think he did he realized what you just said that Arsenal's 2 centre halfs weren't coping with the ball up to Drogba and bought on a extra forward to give Chelsea a extra forward to aim for.

Still have to lose 1 and draw 2 out of 7 games whilst Chelsea win all 7 for you to take the title. Not impossible but hard task for you not to drop any points as well.

Im sure there will be some nail biting towards the end.

Lets just hope we can all do well in Champs League (other than liverpool ).

Sorry but thats the way I feel. I know plenty of Chelsea and Arsenal fans and all know how to have a bit of banter, but I know enough Liverpool fans who act pretty much like Ash does on here and it really grates on me. So much so I cant stomach to see them win anything unless they are the last ones in against some greasy italians.

Are you sure your a Liverpool fan NAF as most of your posts are rational?

hate to say it but your right, why change a system that we cant deal with. bolton used to do it to us and battered us. dont understand why all managers when they play us just say kick it high at your target man. yidos did it to with berbetov. ugly football but you beat a team only beaten once all season.

hopefully it will wake wenger up and buy some experiance

think you'll find they where both created by a long ball, one to frank lamard that fell to drogba, the second long ball to anelka who nodded it on to drogba.
don't get me wrong if a long ball is what it takes to beat a team so be it, its up to a team to find a weakness over 90 mins, just so happened this was arsenals on this particular day.

So all goals scored form corners are long ball?

Thought long ball was being punted for your own penalty area?

corners are crossing the ball , and its generally the best option from a corner to cross the ball into the box as your as far forward as possible with the ball

goals scored from corners are called goals scored from corners.

you punted the ball from half way line into the box(this is a further distance than the corner flag to the box ), i call it route one football. it works. anything lobbed in the box from half way line and behind is classed as a long ball in my books. not arguing with the tactics, we didnt know what to do with it. just look at terrys boot clearence which lead to a drogba one on one.
it aint pretty football but it wins games. wish we had a plan B

It needs a fairly "long ball" to get into the penalty area
