il admit im a united fan and i detest everything about arsenal, but that is a horrible horrible injury and i really feel for eduardo.
from hearing on sky sports it was deemed to be more clumsy than malicious!?!?!
WTF - thats a clumsy challenge
sorry i have to agree with arsene on this. that guy (taylor) shouldnt be on the pitch with tackles like that. i remember the tackle that nearly ended smithys carrer at anfield
best wishes to the guy and hope he returns to the top flight.

I think Arsene is again misguided in his comments.
Taylor made a clumsy mistimed tackle, which unfortunately resulted in a horrific injury to a talented player.
I really hope Eduardo makes a full and speedy recovery, but Arsene Wenger needs to keep his childish comments to himself.

i suppose il wait to see/hear taylors reaction. i dare say there should be a public apology and i was a little zealous in saying he shouldnt be on the pitch
hopefully it was a clumsy tackle, and eduardo recovers to play professionally again.

Exactly. And I agree with Wenger, anyone who does that to another player should be banned for life so all those who want to tell me i'm as bad as Wenger go **** yourselves. Eduardo is possibly looking at the end of his playing career with months and months of rehabilitation just to walk again let alone play professional football. The only thing keeping his foot attached to his leg was skin ffs. That's not a clumsy tackle, that's out and out brutality to hit someone that hard it does that to them and there is no place for that on a football pitch.

good luck eduardo. hope your there for us again next season. think he was going to come good.
as for the people moaning bout wenger. shut up and show concern for the player, wenger is just letting off steam. he's horrified with what he saw and its obviously effected him. god sake did you see gary lewin after, he was distraut and he's a physio

I doubt very much he will recover to play Premier League football ever again, he's young so he has a chance, but its very similar to David Busst's leg break at Old Trafford back in '96 and he never played again.
It did'nt look a violent tackle, more extremely unfortunate, like Busst that was'nt a violent tackle just a combination of force to the leg.
All the best for Eduardo....from a Everton fan.

Well bbc just showed it in all its glory on MOD and it made me feel sick (I don't think they should have showed it). Having seen the tackle in that replay then I have to admit it wasn't a two footed give it everything tackle that you often see but he went in with studs first and thats what caused it. His foot was literally dangling by the skin still attched one side. It will be a miracle if he ever plays top flight football again having just seen the extent of it in slow motion replay

Aye I seen the footage on MOTD and it wasn't pleasant. I hope Eduardo makes a speedy & full recovery and it was good to see Arsene issuing a statement retracting his earlier comments. Remember that he had the comment about Taylor straight after the final whistle and emotions would have been running high.

Well at least Wenger has seen sense. Quite out of character for him really...
