Golf clubs - recommendations..
Been looking at buying a cheap set of clubs to take up golf. Have previously been to a driving range a few times and just borrowed a few clubs from friends etc...
Started looking for my own set to get out on a course - but there are just so many makes out there !!
Anyone know if something like the ones listed below are going to be OK ? Not looking to spend more than about £150 really ( certainly to begin with ) but also dont want to buy something that will be rubbish !
Petron Ips
Regals
Any recommendations greatly appreciated

When i bought my first set i went to American Golf Discount and picked a set up, inc bag and trolley for £175, Cougars, nothing special, bit like Ronseal, does what it says on the club, i've progressed to a new putter and recently a new 3 wood that feels a lot lighter and more solid, again, no special make.
I'm not that good either, so spending a lot wasnt really worth it.
American Golf do some great newbie packages, worth a look and a visit i'd say.

My advise would be to go second hand, that way if you decide golf isnt for you, you are not going to lose loadsa money when selling up.
I have just brought a great set of Ping eye2's from a certain auction site for £92 delivered. There are 100's of set's on there ranging from cheap and cheerfull to top of the range. I would look for one of the big four and you cant go wrong. Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Taylor made.
Hope that helps.
