Not a good idea imo, theres always going to be games where both teasm fight out a draw and those results could prove vital later on in the season. Going to shootouts will just benefit teams that didn't really deserve the win.

I was dead against it at first, but on further inspection, it sounds quite interesting.
If the score is tied at the end of normal time, each team gets a point (as now), but there is a penalty shoot-out to win a bonus point.
This means that all games will result in 3 points being awarded, either 3-0 or 2-1.
It's certainly radical, but it will guarantee that even the most humdrum games will have some excitement. I'm definately firmly in the camp of "not messing about with the rules of the beautiful game", but I must admit to struggling to come up with a down side to this proposal.
