Looks like the Defoe rumours are untryue then and he'll concentrate on Torres in the summer.

An interesting one thats for sure......

A good move I think as he's somebody Rooney could learn from. Only a stop gap though so I hope he looks to a long term replacement for Ruud.

Utd have got a lot of goals this year because of how quick they attack. I'm not saying he's slow.....but not exactly as quick as the others.

I think it says a lot about the lack of real quality front players at the moment or ones that are available. They couldn't get their targets in during the Summer ie Torres and it's even harder in Jan to do so.

Very true.

Look at Tevez. Was hyped up and had the whole Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea to sign his saga. It does take time to settle, but is looking a very average player at the moment.

Agree with LUCKO though, would love to see Rossi get a good run in the team.

Rossi is still an unknown. Fergie is all for giving players their chance but Chelski have set the bar so high now I think he's looking for somebody more proven at the top level. I have no doubts Rossi will get his chance in time but while fighting tooth and nail for the Prem I think he's reluctant to gamble at the mo.

Looks like the deal is from Jan to March allowing him to keep his match fitness before the Swedish season starts in April.

Just goes to show that the only way away from Celtic is down

First he signs for some Spanish minnows, then Helsingborg, and now he ends up at UEFA cup hopefuls Man Utd, the sad demise of a once great man

I think its a good move for some back up. No real depth upfront for united.

I always said Tevez would be a flop, South Americans just cant cut it in the prem. Only seen 2 players who look like class in this country from SA.

What a tasty bit of business, and some say Sir Alex is losing it.

Torres in summer it is then.

Heinze is one of them. He took to the premiership like duck to water.

As a UTD fan I think the Larsson deal is great. He will change games at Old Trafford.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he (Torres) recently bought a house the in Manchester area - I could be wrong on that though.

I think he's done all he can for Atletico, time to join the big boys...and I'm not talking about the 'mighty' Wolves.

Great deal, hopefully it's extendable if he's playing well. Jan-mar we might need backup but we might mar-may as well.

Can't imagine him not doing well, he could slot into position to allow rest for either of our front players or provide the option of 4-3-3 when chasing goals.

Hopefully he will aid Saha's development in terms of 1 on 1 finishing as well.

Even if he is 90% the player he was at Celtic you will have an excellent sub to change a game.

Remember Barca, Ronaldinho, Eto, Deco and all, Henrik won the European cup for them in the final.

THE best player I have ever seen in the flesh

you have also got to remember that sir alex would have been looking for someone who could play for us in europe to and most of the strikers who are good enough have already played in european comps this season
