Default If you were Bent

Would you be pee'd off that a guy who has never played in the premiership was picked infront of you?

Lets face it what he is looking for is a sub who has the ability to come on and change the game by scoring a goal. Bent has 20 this year and proved he can do it ......Walcott hasn't. Cant get my head round it.

Haven't found a person who thinks its the right decision yet...........

But im not gay so I cant say

I think walcott was good decision. Bents good but nothing special. World class defenders wont have trouble with him.

Interesting decision. I guess only time will tell, i am very surprised by the choice I must say.

However, he is Sven Goran Eriksson earning millions a year cos he knows his stuff. We are just 9 to 5'ers posting on a website designed to bring together lovers of a 4 door japanese car with a bonnet vent.

He has scored 20 goals this season against world class defenders.........how many has Walcott got against low level defenders?

Bad choice

Only the top teams have world class defenders and world class midfielders. Walcott was beating men at 15/16, just imagine what he can do when hes a full grown man.

Yes, agreed. that is exactly why Wenger signed him.

But a grown man he is not, yet.

I won't say bad decision cos I might be wrong. I'll simply say interesting and surprising decision and reserve judgement until the lad has been given his chance.

More of a worry, If Owen and Rooney are injured.....that leaves....

Yes....

CROUCH!!!

Can you imagine a quarter final game, last minute, and crouch has the ball with just the goally to beat!

God help us.........we must have better strikers than these ******* jokers!

Crouch is a good forward player for the likes of Owen, Defoe. a holding striker works well with those 2.

Walcott is an unknown quantity.....

Still think Fowler could have offered something but as said, I'm not as good at Sven's job as what Sven is.

Lets face it without Rooney and Owen we are wasting our time. Coal would do a job up front but the circus freak Crouch sure isn't going to get the golden boot is he

As for Walcott you might as well take anyone from someones reserve team ...... I would rather have seen Fowler / Bent / Defoe / uncle tom cobbly than someone who hasn't played in the premiership, lets be real about this......

Given the choice, I'd have also chose Defoe and/or Bent over Walcott. However it's happened, and I hope for him, England (and Arsenal ) that he does well.

He must have something special for wenger to pay 12 million (for a 16yr old) and we all know how much of a prude Wenger is with transfers! I hope it shows and it isn't too early........the last thing we want is for him to flop and knock his confidence and be branded "crap" by our wonderfully fickle media.

If Wenger has said to Sven hes good enough take him then thats good enough for me. Give the lad a try although I would rather have (never thought Id say this) Hemile Heskey in the squad over Crouch.

If we dont have Rooney we'll have Defoe, I dont see why people are fretting.

Could you imagine ANY manager picking ANY squad without people fretting?? No chance. Reminds me of the Lee Evans joke he did on stand up....

Where a fan is screaming:

"naah ya ****, pass it, go round him, come on my mum could do better than that" !!!

...but then play stops, the stadium goes silent and dark, but a small spot-light is aimed at the fan and a voice say's "so then know it all how would you do it??"

...the fan's response is "well, I'd err, errrmm, I err".....
