He's currently the 3rd hihest scorer in Premiership history, which considering his time at Leeds and Man city, is a remarkable testimony to a striker who many believe is the most natural finisher since Jimmy Greaves.
And yes, he'll probably get on at some point.

You've done well in pointing out his past achievements (and I'm not questioning them), but that's all they are.
You're expecting far too much from him.

[QUOTE=G-STAR]I've said this in the other thread also; love for a club does not bring back the ability of yesteryear.

How do you know what I'm expecting from him? Sure i'm expectng him to score some goals, as many as in his first stint, no, he's not the same player. However, I do know that against Utd last week, and chelsea today, if the cahnces that fell to Liverppols strikers had fallen to Fowler, even the Fowler of today, both those games would have beeen won, before they were lost. Felt we were ontop for 35 minutes, then Rafa's persistence with the zonal deence cost us a goal, again.

Well that was a win win game for Utd. Must admit my head wanted a Chelsea win to peg Liverpool back so thanks Chelsea.
Reina (sp?) was a sending off with bad tackle and raised hands. Robben should have got a booking as well for being a ***** and going to the floor.
Simon.

I also think John Terry should have got a yellow card for his approach to Reina...
Not that I care as already mentioned it was a win win for Utd which is good enough for me
