Still a little leaky at the back, but if we continue to score double what we concede, I don't think I can argue.

I think its the mid field where we're lacking personally.

Without a doubt, and we've got a gap to plug over summer, when Gill has said he'll make sure we're able to bring in top talent.

As the squad stands, we have the players available to, once again, hold a tight defence, but I feel it'll take another few games to implement both Vidic and Evra into the back four, while enabling Brown, Neville, Rio and Silvestre to adapt to their style of play.

I think we can achieve what we need to this season (at least one trophy, and a Champions League qualifying position) with who we have available in centre midfield; (as the wings aren't a problem, what with Park, Ronaldo, and Giggs) as Smith, Rooney, Richardson, et al. will be good adequate to bring about the necessary outcome.

Only just saw the football first highlights as out tonight and today.

Excellent free kick by ronaldo at that range. Boy did that ball curl and dip. He had a great game.

Ruud was deffo offside for sahas goal but was onside for that backheel which would have been an awesome finish.

I agree with the midfield comments - that lack of presence there is opening the defence up and making them look worse than they are. So far I dont think Evra is fitting in well - he looks dodgy in the air and tackling. Good going forward but Richardson has more pace so I dont even see a place for him there.

Brown is the best defender we have at present but he needs a solid and regular partner. Havent seen enough of Vidic yet but he looks confident on the ball. I seriously thing Fergie should leave Rio in midfield as Smith and Fletcher are weaklings.

Rooney has been off the boil for some time but is a great playmaker. Saha coming into some serious form and showing the pace and strength that made him such a good player at Fulham.

As much as I hate to say it Giggsy is well past it. Can come on as a 2nd half sub. Whats happened to Ole - not another injury?

Simon.

It is, but, as far as I'm aware, it's only minor.
