I used to support the BORO .... so, it's a shame - my new team, Arsenal, did very well indeed!!

But please, we don't want Mike Baldwin (AKA Steve McClaren). He's doing such a good job at the mighty Boro. Good enough for me anyway...

so the petty small-mindedness of geordie fans extends to scoobynet as well - i reckon both teams are crap at the moment, anyone who watched that soporific drivel at st james when they met last would testify to that......sort your own overpaid carrot-munchers out before giggling at those down the a19.

soporific
Was it last Season or the one before when a Smog fan fell asleep at The Riverside, during a Boro 1st team game...? The Club had him barred.

It's never happened at a Toon match to my knowledge!

Well of course it does. NUFC fans are the only fans in the World who like to laugh at other Clubs getting a tanking. All other fans are like little Angels...

Chelsea fans I'm sure, were full of sympathy and encouragement after they beat us 4-0 last Season. No mickey taking for them! Not to mention the ManYu fans when they stuck 6 past us at St James Park. Perfect Ladies and Gentlemen...

Everyone knows we're the worst fans in the World and should be blamed for everything... Smog fans of course, are perfect.

and how many places are Newcastle above the relegation zone?
NUFC are the most underperforming club in the country at the moment and everytime fans shine the spotlight on another team that's doing marginally (4 points) less well in the table (despite having recently won a domestic trophy - something Newcastle have failed to do in the last 50 years - and still being in European competition) you take the heat of those who've misguided your club.
clever boy, keep it up and those you want out will stay.

These Smoggies are purely delusional, we know we're sh1te

Club won't get rid of Souness, although just about every fan wants him out, due to having no money to pay the £3million settlement and who'll replace him?

Also you should lighten up, its only a bit of light hearted banter.
Certain Smoggies were ripping us all last season, will a PSLewis please stand up?

all i can say is that envy can be a destructive emotion - i'm of the understanding that there is no 20 foot wall/electric fence/burning oil-filled moat around that great place that straddles both north and south banks of the mighty river. therefore if you'd like to trade up to the culturally-rich, architecture-enhanced teesside ..... the most desirable part of the north east according to a recent survey of unbiased season ticket holders at the riverside..... then you can put your house on the market and move to middlesbrough. we welcome all to our great town even those whose accents limit their comprehension.

Well at least I'm clever enough to realise that even as a Season Ticket holder, Shareholder and supporter since 1969, I can't get rid of the Manager or Chairman of Newcastle United FC.

You're implication seems to be that if I shut up in Scoobynet, about the plight of that once bankrupt Club, Middlesbrough FC (1986), I'll get rid of Souness and Shepherd. If only, but I'm not that stupid.

This is banter between fans. Something heard in places of work, pubs, clubs, schoolyards, Football grounds, etc, and now the Internet. Accept that it happens, because it has for over 100 years and will continue for as long as Football is played and enjoyed. Please don't try and tell us that no Smog fan would dare stoop so low. The World's greatest Smog graces this very Forum, and has only recently stopped trying to persuade us all, the mighty Boro are tops, that the centre of the Universe is the town of Middlesbrough, Chris Rea is a "god" and Petch's pies from Gt Ayton (ASBO heaven) are the best! He's also not been averse to having the odd dig at the Toon (and other teams). It has at times, been very funny... and taken generally, in good spirit.

Cheers

people may debate the virtues of our football club but no man who has ever travelled along the a66 and stopped to marvel at the beauty nestled beneath the eston hills could ever argue that the fair townage that contemporaries call 'the boro' is not one of the finest urban jewels anywhere on this planet.

god bless middlesbrough and all who sail in her.

You must be talking about Stockton-on-Tees, as Middlesbrough is on the south side. You could make an argument for Stockton being north and south, although others would argue Thornaby, Ingleby B, Eaglescliffe and Yarm aren't part of Stockton. All of course are administered by Stockton Borough Council.

Billingham, Haverton Hill, Port Clarence, and Seal Sands are most definitely not part of Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough's just a small town in Yorkshire. Now, where've I heard that before?

Cheers

Hey Richie! Don't knock British Steel/Corus. I have to pass that twice
a day on my way to and from work in North Yorks. A couple of Scoobs
back, every now and again, the Engine Check Light used to come on
around there. The handbook said it was a pollution warning. Honest!

Petch's pies from Gt Ayton ...................

I travel 300+ miles for them there pies!! The BEST pies in all of the Kingdom!!

The BORO are, quite clearly, the team of the future .... Newcastle are a team of the past - we all know it's true ...........

Whats the betting that the BORO will lift the UEFA Cup this year?? I'll tell you a fact ........................ it's a better bet than Newcastle lifting ANYTHING (not even their game!!)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

All you say is true Pete, Newcastle have a past history, yours goes back to '86

Boro in Europe so have a chance of winning but not if they play like they did on Saturday, we're resigned to do nothing but finish above the Boro in the league.
Hay ho

I'm a bit of a commoner, like Greggs but they give me hellish heartburn.
Also like M&S but the pastry is too short I'd say
