The best midfielder is still here: Steven Gerrard

Will Man U "fold"? Lets hope so!

Bet Fergie wished he quit when he was ahead.

they keep sayimg that no footballer is bigger than the club but what about the manager.

I recon he should seriously consider enjoying retirement sooner rather than later.

PMFSL Like Liverpool did in 89 and look at the fookin shambles they've been since.

certainly didnt see that coming with RK, good luck to him he has been an excellant servant, never once threatening to leave for another club and then pissin his nappy and changing his mind.

Cheers Roy

ManU won't fold, he wasn't even playing...sounds like a good deal all round...ManU lose a massive part of their wage bill and a few of their players can step out of Keane's shadow...plus he gets to lengthen his career and get a few more games to do his thing, which is always great to see....and ManU don't have someone passing critisms in the wings.
I see Pompey have expressed an interest already....

As i said in the other thread, Keane isn that good! He has very good presence on the pitch because of the character that he is, and for that he makes a good captain. As for his playing ability i dont rate him that high im afraid. This is coming from a man u fan! He will be replaced quite easily. Beckham left and he and many others thought that they wouldnt cope without him. No player is bigger than the club.

Beckham still hasnt been replaced. If solskaer had stayed fit he might have played in his position but since beckham left united have never had the same amount of ***** into the box. Ask van nistelroy if beckham is missed!

As for keane, I don't see who could replace what he was doing 3 years ago easily which is what is needed. Ballack looks the most likely prospect just now.

er hello!!! gerrard and lampard are still here
keane is well past his sell by date he WAS a great player one of the best but he aint been anywhere near his best for a couple of years now and he realises he cant keep up with the younger players now.
no doubt he'll trot on up to glasgow to play for his beloved celtic where he'll only have to "play" 4 times a season and where he'll still look good compared to the rest of kak that parades itself up there and aint good enough to play in the premiership
sorry to put it like that but all the hype about a has been is a little excessive
he WAS great but now he aint united will move on without him and it will be a hell of a lot easier for them to do so now

I'm surprised no manure fans are not disgusted with the club for letting this happen. Could you see The Arsenal getting rid of Tony Adams like this? Or Newcastle getting rid of Shearer. poor, shows no class
