Rough old match but the better team won in the end Our boys must have a great chance of the grand slam - William Hill must think so as well as I wanted to put a bet on before the championship started and they were only offering a miserly 15/8 which I didn't take.

Dunno (not bothered I should say) who the main commentator for the BBC was but he was a right pain in the backside. I think he's in love with most of the England team the way he was going on about them.

yeah i noticed the commentator was abit of a dick . i watched the first half on the irish station RTE and the second half on bbc and i noticed he had his head up there rear ends for the whole of the second half. bit of a **** if u ask me and they say the ref was biased!

The commentator is Eddie Butler, and how you think he's biased towards the English is beyond me. All a matter of perception I suppose. FWIW he's Welsh, so definitely no English bias. More important is the fact that he is crap, and so is his co-commentator Brian Moore. If that's the best the BBC can do...

dangerous dave got it spot on, the South African referee was appalling. I'm not saying that as a bad loser either, we deserved to lose to the French, mainly because Charlie Hodgkinson handed it to them on a plate

The real praise should, of course, go to the Welsh, who, against France, produced the most exciting 40 minutes of rugby since the world cup final

Moses: a word of advice - your radical views could be misconstrued as something more sinister, please try to use more moderate language

Lets see if you're still singing the praises of the Irish next week, when they've bent your lot over, lifted their skirts & had their wicked way with them

PS looked to me that the shoddy refereeing now deemed acceptable in football, have started to infect rugby too

No, Ireland play France next, in Dublin on the 12th , then play Wales away on the 19th in Cardiff.

England have got to play Italy to decide the wooden spoon!!

Brian Moore is great - 100% honest and open

if he thinks a referee decision is bad he will say so - either way.

For example he was quite open about the highly dubious nature of some of the blocking for the first English try - and equally confused as to why neither of the other 2 were allowed.

Poor refereeing at that level should be a thing of the past

Aye - well done to the Welsh, they are playing some really good Rugby

So Saturday is a Triple crown decider for us, and a Grand Slam decider for
yous. Looks like the championship is yours (I can't see us beating you at
the moment, nevermind by 25 points!)

My Wife is Welsh, so I might have to find one of her shirts to wear on Sat!
