Burnley v Liverpool tonight...

Mark Clattenburg of Newcastle will take charge of the FA Cup 3rd round clash against Burnley at Turf Moor.

His assistants for the game are Roy Burton and Robert Lewis

I wonder if they will be under close scrutiny

Getting you excuses in before you're knocked out is surely a new low - even for Liverpool fans .

Happy New year BTW

Happy New Year...

I don't do excuses jasey He has ref'd us before this season, when we played Portsmouth - no excuse for the result, a draw - other than L'pool played ****e that night!

I bet they would have rather kept a low profile for a while after their calamitous reffing at OT.

The press will probably keep a close eye in case of another major blunder.
Once this is out of the way the focus of attention will move away to something else, such as Burney's great victory over Liverpool
(Banana skins liberally thrown about in a random fashion especially at Loftus Rd on Sunday )

Seeing as half the Academy lads have been drawn into the team tonight, I shall refrain from passing any comments.

Academy Lads - blimey! Now reserves I could understand but I've watched the mighty Southport FC (i go to every home game and many away) play both everton and liverpool academy teams in Liverpool Senior Cup matches over the years and beat them on many occasion... Fond memories of David Gamble chipping Bruce Grobbleaar from 40 yards in around 1990
Burnley could have a good night tonight
