Spurs were a bit hard done by - OK Man U had most of the possession but a legitimate goal disallowed and Heinze should have been sent off for 2 elbowing offences (The one on Keane should have been a penalty).

As a Man Utd fan I agree spurs should have won. Didnt stop me laughing though. Got some avid spurs fans at work - would have pissed myself if we had gone on to win with a pen or similar.

Funniest thing I've ever seen. Clearly over the line, clearly a dopey linesman. He had one of the worst games I've ever seen.
Unlucky to Spurs, but at least they were decent about it and haven't gone off on a tantrum. They deserved a point, they got a point.
The sad thing is now we will never hear the end of this from the ever-predictable mickeys. It wasn't a giant conspiracy or anything, just a stupid ref/linesman. No malice, no evil intent, no greater control involved just unlucky for Spurs.
Oh Messiah, if Heinze needed to go, then so should've Marney.

Why can't they learn from rugby league, cameras are so easy and cheap to install, with a radio link to the ref. Keeps the fans happy as they know that key decisions are 99.99% correct.
The Man Utd. incident was one of the worst "travesties of justice" (as Shanks once said) I have ever seen.

Yup "cyclops" as per Tennis could work.
As could fitting GPS to every player to detect offside (as half the refs and linemen can't)

Never ran the line then? If the liner had a clear sight of that from where he was - while running and watching the line as ball was kicked blah blah blah then he must have 40 yard long optic nerves! Sky blaming him was just the usual hyped up controversy boll0x we expect from the Daily Star of football programming...
Course it was a goal and from camera angle one at normal speed from up above (as in what we all saw) at real time, there might have been some who shouted goal, but would never have been sure... Liner cant give it unless he is 100% and there is no way he could have been. Dont forget at the theatre of dreams the pitch slopes off slightly at both ends too...(nice)..
Saying all that though, it clearly showed a need for tennis stylee electonic eye thingies and we were lucky to get away with a draw in Heinzesight...

Talking to a mate last night whose seat is roughly in line with the goal line at the other end, and he said that he and everyone around him saw it go over the line, coz they all sat down in shock until they realised it wasn't going to be given
I personally reckon it's time we got rid of linesmen running up and down, and got them sat in front of monitors linked to travelling cameras, similar to those used for filming athletics, or that used at the new Hockenheim circuit.

And while were at it **** this new offside rule off Because, if a forward isn't interfering with play in the oppositions half, send him off coz he ain't doing his job

Every player is always interfering with play all the time - they must be if theyre on the pitch because another player will have at least one eye on their wherabouts / actions...

Tonight against Villa. Second goal. Another liner who had his home side scarf blow in front of his face!
Obvious handball that 'nearly' got blown up for that started the move (nearly?... what ever happened to being decisive?) then 6 Ft off side from a clear header.. WTF!
Maybe United deserved the win.. Villa were ****.. but the second goal dropped Villas heads and boosted Utd for the 3rd....
God I hate refs & linesmen.. mostly icompentent ***** who ALL have some bias, regardless what they say.. Impartial on ALL games? My ****..
Time to bring in some technology and consign the shortsighted, biased, incompetent & cheating to55sers to the bin..
I feel much better now.. Ta.
