***** are booing the welsh anthem.

i like a bit of banter with or sheep ******** relatives but booing anthems just shows how thick our "fans" are.

Why do some players refuse to sing, you'd think they would when they are chosen to represent their countries.

Normally in an event where GB is represented(e.g F1, the olympics etc etc) God save the queen is sung. If theres an event where England, wales and Scotland are represented as seperate teams (e.g the Commonwealth games, Rugby) then LOHAG is sung. The only exception that springs to mind is Football.

After all She's Wales and Scotland's queen too

God save the Queen sung at the Rugby too (National Anthem time - Something about Chariots and where you can stick them at other times) - and no booing from anyone.

Football - followed by a minority of brain-dead fcukwits.

Up the Ar$e .

God Save The Queen is the worst national anthem in the world and should be scrapped. When you think of ones like the American's and even the translation of the French, ours is so lame. At least their's tell a bit of a story, instead of just licking the @rse of whoever is the Queen/King at the time.

LOHAG is miles better.

And I'm neither for or against the royals.

Andy.

Did you know the same GSTQ tune is also used as the Lichtenstein national anthem? It doesn't sound any better with German words either.

GSTQ Tells a Story - It's just that all the interesting bits aren't sung anymore - Some of our Celtic subjects aren't so sure about verse 6 (I think it's verse 6) .

The English will never have a New National Anthem - There's nothing that can be sung that we could all agree on (unless it was written by someone like Yoko Ono and nobody new what the **** it was on about). Before you can have a National Anthem you need a National Identity - Something which no longer exists !
