REDS ACCEPT SPURS BID FOR MURPHY
Steve Hunter 08 August 2004 Liverpool have accepted an offer in the region of £3 million from Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Danny Murphy. The 27-year-old has two years remaining on his present Anfield contract but looks set for a move to pasteurs new after Liverpool accepted a bid from the London club.

Hmmm... even better news leaking out, Owen is on his way to Spain and a 'well known' player coming to Liverpool in exchange + money.
Tuesday will probably confirm whether this is a rumour or not, if neither Owen or the other player don't play in the Champions League games, so as not to make themselves cup-tied.
TBH Owen isn't the world class player he used to be and the thought of Baros and Cisse up front is a very exciting prospect to me

Well as you probably remember I liked Danny Murphy, esp when we were playing Man Utd. Very handy to have around for the free kicks or penalties.
However if he goes to Spurs and we get Alonso from Real Sociedad then I won't be complaining too much.
Haven't heard the current Owen Rumour though , I would agree he isn't the player he was from 2000 - 2002.

Got Super Dan in my Dream Team this year
Baros and Cisse Have to agree, I'd love to see Baros be a first choice striker, he's worked hard in the reserves and deserves it.
Owen needs to make his mind up, either you're in or you're out. I think its time for him to move on and time for us to rake in some cash from him.

Michael Owen met officials from Real Madrid over the weekend.
Word has reached us that Michael Owen will NOT play tomorrow night in our Champions League qualifier game against Grazer AK. This would go a long way to confirming that he may well be looking to ply his trade in Spain next season, as appearing on the pitch tomorrow night would cup-tie him for the rest of the season.
Further, we have also been told that Michael and his advisers spent much of this weekend speaking with representatives of Real Madrid and that matters will certainly be concluded this week one way or the other.
What we don't know is if he his leaving Liverpool or not. But for the player to meet officials from another club with only 12 months left on his contract must mean that something is in the pipeline.

A couple of years back I would have been gutted if he had left now I'm not too bothered.

/Hides behind large heavy object.
I'm not complaining but, I still prefer Danny Murphy to Salif Diao who we still have. I'd rather see a one legged blind man in a Liverpool shirt running around the field than him!
Knowing my luck he'll play tonight now and have a blinder

i think that murphy is a quality player, and i am dissapointed hes gone.
owen isn't what he used to be , but i think he will get bak to what he were soon.
baros. great player. but manager not interested in him and wants to get rid of him.
so what have we got?
cisse ! don't know much about him.
owen going?
baros going?
murphy gone?
whos coming?
we only got a small budget., and most players wanna sign for the more succesful teams at the mo like ****. manu chelsea.
and the way Roman spends his money he seems to wanting to buy every player on the planet so nobody can have any.
i can imagine a wierd story line~~~~~~~~~~~~
LIVERPOOL MANAGER MISSING
news have arrived that liverpool manager "BENITEZ" has gone missing after selling all the major star players of the team for an ultralow price to rival teams
it is believed to know he hated Liverpool since he was a teenager and wanted to destroy them~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
