Thought he would, he's Liverpool through and through. Same with Wayne Rooney, all the speculation, he wont go anywhere, he will stay at Everton.

Beckham said he was United through and through, his Dad still comes to OT. He also said he wasn't going anywhere about this time last year. Don't build your hopes up, money talks.

Saying that though, glad he went now

Press Conference from Official LFC Site

EXCELLENT NEWS

Probably going to sign Michael Ballack too, from Bayern Munich.

Agree, nothing special and i guess after his showing in euro2004 nobody was willing to spend the dosh on a pretty average player IMO.
Anyway good news for lfc supporters.
Now to think of it,i wonder how much Lamps is worth now??

I don't see much difference between lamps and gerrard tbh. No-ones gonna pay £30 mill for Gerrard, madness. for Vieira maybe...

Did someone say ch*l*ea! thats the last team i would support,ok thats ARSEnal.

I was going on his very poor showing in the euro and lamps much better showing,3 goals and a much better all round display IMO.

Just because he played poor at Euro doesn't make him a bad player. Probably just knackered after playing so well all season at Liverpool and almost single handedly getting them that top 4 spot.

It is good news for LFC if he does indeed keep to his word, which after seeing the press conference I think he will.

Correct angrynorth

I'm an Everton fan so makes no odds to me if he stays or goes but I saw him play a few times last season and he's a fantasic player. If I had a choice (which I don't) I'd have him in my team well before Vieira.

Lampard is like a poor mans Gary Speed

On Talk Sport this morning they where reporting that one of the main factors in Gerrard staying whas the threats his family had received if he left for Chelsea..... if this is true then any respect I had for 'Liverpool fans' has gone! Would he really want to play for the club if this was true?

We all know what abuse Houllier got so to say it wouldn't happen is nieve

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH hit the roof when he heard Chelsea had lost the battle for Steven Gerrard.
Awww shame! Tough, just shows money can't always buy what you want
Kop hero Gerrard, who has snubbed the chance to almost double his money to £105,000 a week, said: “For the first time in my career, I have really thought about moving. “But I love Liverpool and the supporters and that is what it has come down to. I have gone with the decision that is in my heart and I am 100 per cent committed to it.”
Restores some of my faith in football
Fuming Abramovich could not believe it
Hahahahahahaha

Take absolutely no notice of the deluded people on Talk Sport. Utterly clueless.

By the way I am not a Liverpool fan.

As long as the media talk about swapping Hamman for Hargreaves isn't true Can't see that as a 'quality' signing
