England is a predominantly CHAV nation,
Football is undoubtably CHAV,

therefore sticking a tacky plastic flag on your car to show support of a CHAV nations CHAV team is definately CHAV !

I have yet to see a Scoob with one on, but I'm sure I will as there are enough stickered up Lexus light dump valved manky old cheap end of the market cars about for the CHAV element to leech into.

Listening to GWR this morning, the chap who goes out on a motorbike to do the traffic report was saying that he got hit in the face by one coming off a Vovlo estate on the M32! He chased the bloke down and told him too!

I don't see what's the big deal with these flags. It's no more offensive than wearing the England top.

you really must have nothing better to do with your time, pillocks!

personally I don't have a flag on my car but I do have a huge St George's cross hanging in my garden, and I'm bloody proud to be english and if people want to demonstrate that they are supporting their national football team by sticking a flag on their cars then good on 'em I say

and as for that ridiculous sniffpetrol crap insinuating that if somebody has their flag showing then they are a casual racist, what utter bullSh!t

jesus christ, whats wrong with this country?

I'm not an iconoclast or offended by them - I simply think they look crap, vulgar and pestilent, even pox-ridden at times. It's not really what they represent, it's what they are. And too many ******* driving around with them on their cars aren't intelligent enough to understand that they should leave the electric window button alone - because it's not very comforting seeing a piece of pure white pox hurtling towards your car at high speed. (This metaphor counts for low-flying doves as well.)

I also find it irksome that flagrant flag use only seems to occurr during big sporting events and not during St. George's day. Infact, I would bet most of the ******* sporting these flags go out of their way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day not realising there is an English equivalent.

minor threat, I am truly impressed with your use of the english language some beautiful phrases there!

although I am not qualified to even attempt a war of words with someone as eliquent as yourself, to suggest somebody is a ******** because they want to display a flag on their car just about somes it up Admittedly using one of these flags at 70mph+ on a motorway or something probably isn't a bright idea, but neithers drinking 10 pints of lager, or smoking spliffs or doing 45mph in a 30 but we've all done it (well some of it )

to suggest that these items are launching themselves from their window positions and decapitating all sorts of innocent victims I would suggest is a slight exageration. I must of seen hundreds and never once have I seen one fly-off??? #cue all pillocks who want to suggest otherwise LOL#

Could you imagine somebody in Brazil in the middle of the World Cup saying "right everyone stop displaying their flags" PMSL

They look tacky and seem to be on the cars of the type of people I'd rather not know.

That said I'll be there in Portugal in a few weeks- let's hope that England are still in it by the time I arrive.

Also why does anyone need to write "ENGLAND" on the flag of St. George, is it in case people are too stupid to realise what country it represents?

I agree that it's nice to see a bit of national pride for a change! Of course it would be nice if we got all patriotic for St Georges and the rest of the year in general - rather than just for Footie, Rugby and Tim Henman! But I'm really not about to start sulking and say that if we don't put them up for St George then we can't put them up for any other reason!

I'm proud to be English whatever day of the year it is - and if it focuses people on being happy, rather than on being horrid and nasty then it's alright by me (though I'm sure someone is bound to disagree!)

There really are worse things going on in the world to get upset over than a few plastic flags and a bit of patriotism.....

By the way - I work for a 24/7 manufacturing company - how many "ill" people do you think there's going to be on Sunday/ Monday....?

Also amused to here the Portugese Police want our fans to smoke dope rather than drink beer. Hope they ave lots of sausage rolls in the shops...

This is a good example of an unauthorised "defaced Ensign". No true patriot who knows anything about flag etiquette would fly such an atrocity!
